No, just extremely busy.
Lets see...I finished one of the slippersocks for my mom and am close to being done with the second one. I bought yarn to make a pair for my dad, but I doubt that I'll get those done for christmas. I still need to decide what I'm giving to my brother and my boyfriend for christmas. I need to get something nice for Ken...its important to me. I guess he's getting me jewelry, but I don't know what kind. He really wants a Homestar Runner wrist band, so I think I'll make him one of those, but I don't know what else to get him. Anyone have some kickass suggestions?
He also wants a skull illusion scarf, which I think will be part of the christmas present, but that will be a long time coming. I have to write the chart for it and all.
I'm giving in my 2week notice to Lane Bryant today. I'm tired of dealing with the drama there, and I don't get paid enough to be worn out by this job. Its rediculous.
In other knitting news, I have Moses to the Mom to Be and she LOVED it! As chance would have it, I chose exactly the right color to match the baby room. How exciting is that?! I think I'll put up the pattern when the baby is born, and I can take a picture of her in it.
I finally settled on a baby blanket pattern for my other cousin...feather and fan lace in a limey green color. I think I'll do it on 8's.
I also decided that I'm going to make a shawl out of the alpaca yarn that my parents gave to me. I want to do just a simple garter stitch pattern, but would like the increases to be the YO's that go up the center. Does anyone have a pattern for that? I'd appreciate it!
I'm working on a couple of frou frou scarves to give away to relatives...I'm incredibly bored with them, and the eyelash yarn makes my hands sweat. Oh well...they look pretty.
I will be in Hawaii in two weeks!! I'm so so so so so excited. My brother and I are going to take surfing lessons!!!!!!!!!! I'm just totally thrilled.
Now I must be off to get my tan built up so I don't burn to a crisp.
Until next time, knitters!

i was wondering what happened to you! sounds like you've been busy with both knitting and making plans to knit. the only kick ass ideas i might have would just be beanies or something like that. that's so uncanny and awesome that you picked out the right colors for the baby blanket. i envy you and your hawaii plans. eat some macadamia nuts for me!
yippee for Hawaii! I'll be in san diego for two weeks, which isn't nearly as cool...but still rockin' ;) Good for you for removing yourself from a drama-ridden environment! I'm the RA for a floor with the most DRAMA filled selection of girls EVER!! it's so rediculous...I think they needa grow up..oh well...have fun knitting all your gifties!
